Anthropic is reportedly planning a UK share offering through the platform RetailBook as a component of its upcoming Initial Public Offering (IPO). This development suggests Anthropic’s intentions to broaden its investor base by targeting UK retail participants. Despite Anthropic’s significant financial metrics, including a reported $16.3 billion in revenue for the first half of 2026, the details of the IPO, such as share count and pricing, remain undisclosed. The move to involve RetailBook, however, has not been confirmed in official filings or reports associated with the IPO.
Key Takeaways
The reported collaboration with RetailBook suggests Anthropic’s strategic approach to involve UK retail investors in its IPO.
Market participants appear to view this as a potential confidence booster for Anthropic’s market cap projections, with predictions indicating a valuation possibly reaching $2 trillion.
Current market odds show a 29% likelihood that Anthropic’s market cap will be between $1.75 trillion and $2.0 trillion at the close on IPO day.
What to Watch
Observers should monitor any official confirmation from Anthropic regarding the RetailBook arrangement, as this could influence market confidence. Developments in Anthropic’s financial disclosures and announcements about the IPO’s pricing and share count will be key indicators of market sentiment. Additionally, any shifts in regulatory approval or broader tech market conditions could impact the timing and success of the IPO.

Anatoly Yakovenko pushed back as more than 30 companies, including Goldman Sachs and Microsoft, objected to on-chain versions of their shares
Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko has a blunt message for US public companies that don’t want their shares traded on-chain. If they object to tokenized stock trading, he says, they should go private.
The remark, made on October 28, 2026, lands in the middle of a growing standoff. On one side, tokenized equity trading volume is climbing fast. On the other, a lengthening list of well-known corporations wants nothing to do with it.
A five-year experiment with an opt-out clause
The fight traces back to September 17, 2026. That’s when the SEC granted an innovation exemption that opened the door to on-chain trading of US equities.
The exemption sets up a temporary, five-year trial framework for tokenized stock venues. Under the rules, venues must notify stock issuers before listing tokenized versions of their shares. Issuers then get a 30-day objection period to raise concerns.
Plenty of them have used it. More than 30 companies have formally objected to the trading of tokenized versions of their shares as of late October 2026.
The objectors aren’t obscure small caps. The list includes Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Alphabet and McDonald’s.
Many of those objections surfaced on OKXICE, a joint venture between the NYSE’s parent company and crypto exchange OKX. The platform has publicly disclosed complaints from multiple issuers over the tokenization of their stock.
Volume keeps rising anyway
Corporate resistance has not slowed traders down. Tokenized equities trading volume on Robinhood Chain hit $11.31 billion in September 2026. Back in July, that figure stood at $526 million.

Solana is seeing a similar trend. Tokenized equities have become the fastest-growing category on the network, which helps explain why its co-founder is paying close attention to who is trying to slam the brakes.
Yakovenko’s argument frames the corporate pushback as inconsistent with what being a public company means. Listing shares publicly is, in his view, a choice that comes with obligations, and objecting to how those shares trade sits awkwardly with that choice.
He has also leaned on two concepts familiar to anyone who has spent time around blockchains: composability and network effects. Composability means on-chain assets can plug into other applications like Lego bricks, so a tokenized share could be used in lending, trading or other financial tools without custom integrations. Network effects work the way they do for social platforms. Each additional asset and user makes the whole system more useful for everyone else.
Why issuers are digging in
The objecting companies are not short on lawyers or influence. Their resistance signals that big issuers want a say in where and how their equity circulates, even under a framework the SEC has blessed on a trial basis. The 30-day objection window gives them a formal channel to say so.
Yakovenko’s “go private” retort is an attempt to flip that framing. Rather than treating issuer objections as a red flag for tokenization, he casts them as companies wanting the benefits of public markets without accepting all the ways those markets might evolve.
What this means for the market
For traders and platforms, the split screen is the story. Demand for tokenized equities is clearly real, with Robinhood Chain’s September volume offering hard evidence.
Venues like OKXICE sit squarely in the crossfire. A joint venture tied to the NYSE’s parent company carries institutional weight, but it also has to manage public complaints from the very issuers whose shares anchor traditional exchanges.
For Solana and similar networks, the stakes are direct. Tokenized equities are the network’s fastest-growing category, so any slowdown driven by issuer resistance would hit one of its most promising growth lines.
The SEC’s five-year trial window also matters here. A temporary framework means the rules could still change, and the behavior of issuers, venues and traders during this period may influence what a permanent regime looks like.
Yakovenko has staked out the hardline position. Whether the companies on the other side feel any pressure to respond, or simply keep filing objections, will say a lot about who actually holds leverage in this experiment.

Right now, polls show Trump is even underwater with large numbers of Republican voters who don’t heavily identify as MAGA. So ask yourself this: Does anything he’s saying at these rallies appear likely to win back those people, let alone moderates and independents?
Take Trump’s rally in Corpus Christi. He repeatedly insisted oil and gas prices are coming down, while claiming our country is making an “absolute fortune” off the Iran war, seemingly meaning in oil exports. (As TNR’s Michael Tomasky explains, we did sell more oil abroad for a time but not anymore, and oil prices remain astronomically high). Trump also insisted that the “deal” he made to seize control of Venezuelan oil was a “big victory” for America. “To the victor belong the spoils,” Trump declared.
As these examples show, even when Trump is addressing the cost of living—the top concern of voters—he’s treating it as a nonproblem, one he has solved via foreign conquest and plunder. He also falsely proclaimed a massive factory boom without mentioning the awful recent inflation and jobs numbers. Who is going to believe any of this? Only voters who are already so invested in seeing Trump succeed that they’re primed to see his destructive adventurism and pillage abroad as some sort of victory for what might be termed vulgar MAGA nationalism.

Bitcoin must reclaim $85K to overcome long-term holder selling, Glassnode says

Long-term holders' selling pressure could cap Bitcoin's rally even as short-term buyers provide support below $80,000.
Bitcoin faces significant resistance around $85,000 as long-term holders controlling approximately 4 million BTC acquired at higher prices could sell into a recovery, according to blockchain analytics firm Glassnode.
In its weekly onchain report, published Wednesday, Glassnode warned that a substantial concentration of Bitcoin purchased between $85,000 and $118,000 could limit further gains as investors seek to recover their initial investments.
Long-term holders, defined as investors who have held Bitcoin for more than 155 days, accumulated much of this supply during 2025. More than half of the coins held by this group were acquired above Bitcoin’s current market price, according to the report.
The $84,000 to $85,000 range has repeatedly rejected Bitcoin’s recovery attempts this year, with the cryptocurrency closing above the level on only five days since January.
Bitcoin briefly climbed to $87,100 in September but failed to sustain the move, leaving the resistance zone intact.
Glassnode said a series of daily closes above $85,000 would be necessary to establish the area as support, while a breakout above $87,500 accompanied by stronger ETF inflows could indicate that buyers are absorbing the overhead supply.
Bitcoin support strengthens near $77K as selling pressure eases
Despite the resistance above current prices, Glassnode identified improving conditions among investors who acquired Bitcoin more recently.
Most short-term holders purchased their coins below the current market price, with the largest concentration of supply around $77,000 and another cluster near $64,000.
These levels could attract buying interest if Bitcoin declines further, particularly from investors seeking to defend their existing positions.
Order book data from Binance also showed that buying liquidity has shifted lower after repeated tests of the $80,000 level.
Glassnode found approximately $42 million in bids concentrated between $78,000 and $79,000, compared with $24 million in mid-October.
Meanwhile, buying orders around $80,000 have fallen to just $3.4 million, suggesting that traders are increasingly positioning for support at lower prices.

The report also found that investors have become less willing to realize losses during recent declines.
Daily net realized losses reached approximately $630 million during Bitcoin’s August low, compared with a peak of just $27 million during the October 24 selloff.
The decline suggests that selling pressure has eased even as Bitcoin continues struggling to regain momentum.
Glassnode identified the True Market Mean, a measure of the average acquisition price of economically active Bitcoin supply, at approximately $77,900.
A daily close below that level could shift attention toward the short-term holder cost basis near $75,800, which represents another potential support zone.
Bitcoin ETF inflows weaken as volatility reaches 2023 lows
Institutional demand remains subdued, with US spot Bitcoin ETFs recording just $67 million in net inflows over the two weeks covered by Glassnode’s report.
The modest inflows followed a $653 million increase on October 19 that was largely reversed by subsequent withdrawals, including $540 million on October 22.
Trading activity has also slowed considerably.
Since May, US spot Bitcoin ETFs have averaged approximately $1.3 billion in daily trading volume, while activity fell to around $700 million on October 23, one of the quietest sessions of the year.
Glassnode said the combination of limited inflows and weak trading volume suggests that ETFs are contributing little additional buying pressure at current prices.
Bitcoin has also slipped below the average cost basis of US spot ETF holdings, estimated at approximately $81,500.
A recovery above that level would put the average ETF investor back into profit, potentially improving sentiment.
At the same time, Bitcoin’s one-month realized volatility has declined to approximately 25%, returning to levels last seen during summer 2023.
According to Glassnode, Bitcoin has experienced lower volatility on only about 5% of trading days since 2015.
The compression comes ahead of the Federal Reserve’s October 28 policy decision, which could provide the next catalyst for a significant market move.
Glassnode noted that previous periods of similarly low volatility have preceded sharp price movements in both directions.
For now, Bitcoin remains caught between a substantial concentration of long-term holder supply near $85,000 and buying interest around $77,000 to $79,000.
